Finding Our Way Home Collection
In the days after Hurricane Ian, much of Fort Myers Beach looked unfamiliar. Street signs were gone, landmarks had disappeared, and navigating the island became difficult for residents, volunteers, and first responders.
To help people find their way, local resident Jessie Titus began painting simple wooden street signs and placing them at key intersections. These handmade markers quickly became powerful symbols of resilience, hope, and the strong community spirit that defines Fort Myers Beach.
The Finding Our Way Home Collection preserves that moment in island history.
This special collection features posters of the original hand-painted signs as well as custom Hurricane Street Sign Mugs featuring Jessie’s artwork. Each mug is personally made to order—just tell us your Fort Myers Beach street name when ordering, and if we have a photo of that sign, we can create a mug just for you.
These pieces are more than keepsakes—they are reminders of neighbors helping neighbors and a community determined to rebuild.
